Superhelic Heads & Knives

Helical cutting action is the ultimate way to surface wood and will eliminate fuzzy and chipped out grain defects even in cross grain. The Helix is a continuous compound shear cutting action that slices the wood off with low tool pressure. Our Super Helic heads use a simple one screw set gib design that wedges the corrugated carbide knives tightly using centrifugal force. New heads include a set of knives that are factory sharpened in the head for closer cutting concentricity. Knives can be re-sharpened many times. Heads are Made to Order- Delivery about 4 to 5 weeks. All heads are currently right hand helix.

Superhelic Straight Bore Heads

Offered in 2 and 4 Knife configurations. 20° Cutting Angle / 15° Helical Angle. Bores available include: 1-1/4", 40mm, 1-1/2", 1-13/16", 50mm, and 2-1/8".

Superhelic Hydro Bore Heads

Offered in 4 and 6 Knife configurations. 20° Cutting Angle / 20° Helical Angle. Bores available include: 40mm, 1-1/2", 1-13/16", 50mm, and 2-1/8".

Superhelic Knives

Superhelic knives are currently offered in solid carbide for long life and can be resharpened several times.
