We offer 4 grades of Tersa knives to maximize tool life and reduce knife cost. All knives are double edged and fit in the Tersa brand cutterheads. These knives are the original Swiss Made Tersa brand knives, not a cheap imitation. We offer great prices and quick delivery. Chrome Steel Grade - View Selection

D2 High Carbon High Chrome. Chrome offers a lower knife price and is less likely to chip in dirty woods. Great choice for softwoods and material that is wet.

 
Tersa Planer Knives in Chrome Steel, HSS, M42 & Carbide Grades

 

 

HSS (High Speed Steel) Grade - View Selection

HSS is a high tungsten (18%) T1-HSS that is our best seller. Recommended for softwood and some occasional hardwood use.

 

M42 Grade - View Selection

An exotic hard grade of high speed steel with more Cobalt and Vanadium for 35% longer life than the HSS grade. M42 is great for surfacing most hardwoods.

 

Carbide Grade - View Selection

Increase your tool life up to 12 times over HSS by using Carbide. Recommended for hickory, teak, tropical dense hardwoods, MDF, edge glued stock and other man made materials. Carbide can nick easier so use it with clean wood. Consider running two carbide knives and two hss knives for long life and smoother finishes.
